JOB SUMMARY

This role is responsible to execute all the work related to the rearing and caring of heifers and dry cows as prescribed procedures and as instructed by Herd Supervisor.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (1/2)

1. Organize and supervise activities (regrouping the cows, locking the cows, etc…) to assist the vets and inseminators during health checks and treatment to maintain good health and reproductive status of all heifers and cows after milk; to alert the Vet Supervisor upon discovering heifers with unexpected health problems

2. Organize and supervise the daily cleaning of the shed and maintaining of the bedding in good and hygienic conditions to ensure the least cases of disease due to infection; inform maintenance foreman if there is break-down in shed facilities

3. To organize and supervise body measurement activities of the team

4. To ensure workers adhere to heat watch shifts and ensure on time and accurate heat detection

5. To clean the sheds as scheduled and requested

6. To keep safe watch of heifers when machinery operators cultivate the bedding to avoid accidents

1. Knowledge & Qualification:

Graduate from high school
